It’s a rare milestone in the volatile world of crypto exchanges, but BitMart just celebrated its seventh anniversary. Although regulatory pressure hit hard during the Biden administration, the silver linings have been bright: Europe and Asia have emerged as new strongholds for the company, and its global footprint is expanding fast.

Ksenia Drobyshevskaya, who leads Growth at BitMart, spoke to DL Research at Paris Blockchain Week, where she highlighted the exchange’s ever-expanding geographical reach, outreach strategy, and plans for the year ahead.

“Seven years in crypto is like a lifetime,” Drobyshevskaya said. “We’ve survived bull markets, bear markets, and everything in between.”

The exchange marked its anniversary with a campaign featuring trading competitions, bonus drops, and user contests — a bid to convert attention into loyalty.

It also took a moment in Paris to celebrate its increasing popularity in Europe.

Language First

According to Drobyshevskaya, Europe’s fragmented market presents challenges — but many opportunities. The European market is unique - rich, tech-savvy, multilingual, and eagerly embracing the crypto revolution.

BitMart gets that, and it’s been making inroads with multilingual support and regionalised social media channels.

“We want people to feel comfortable using BitMart in their native language,” said Drobyshevskaya. “It builds trust and deepens community engagement.”

The strategy is paying off, she said:

“In Europe, we’ve also seen a significant increase in user activity, particularly in markets like France, Italy, and Germany. Our user registrations have steadily grown, and trading volumes have increased across spot and futures markets, reflecting the growing demand for our services. This momentum is part of why we continue to prioritize Europe as a key region for growth. We even saw graffiti in Romania celebrating our anniversary. It’s a sign our community is growing in places we didn’t expect.”

Community, Not Just Compliance

BitMart’s booth in the Louvre was hard to miss. The company’s strong presence at Paris Blockchain Week is one of many recent marketing pushes designed to highlight its global ambitions.

Next up, BitMart will attend Token2049 in Dubai and Singapore, as well as several other major events this year. Drobyshevskaya is also slated to speak at UN:BLOCK 2025 in Riga and the WAIB Summit in Monaco.

“Our approach is simple,” she said. “You can’t control the market, but you can stay ready. That’s what’s kept us going for seven years — and what will keep us growing in the years ahead.”
